Who is Dr. Paul Marik?

About Dr. Paul E. Marik, MD, FCCM, FCCP

Dr. Paul Ellis Marik was born on March 26, 1958, in Johannesburg, South Africa. From an early age drawn to the sciences, he would go on to build one of the most prolific and impactful careers in modern critical care and integrative medicine — a career that has now culminated in groundbreaking work in cancer treatment.

🔬 Most Recent Work: Cancer Care Protocols

Dr. Marik’s most significant and current focus is his pioneering research into cancer treatment through repurposed drugs and metabolic interventions — work that is redefining how physicians and patients think about fighting cancer. His latest work is an extensive review of the evidence on the use of repurposed medications in treating cancer.

Drawing on findings from hundreds of peer-reviewed studies, Dr. Marik and his team developed a monograph intended to educate physicians and patients about the often-overlooked role repurposed medications, supplements, and lifestyle habits can play in cancer treatment protocols.

The Role of Repurposed Drugs and Metabolic Interventions in Treating Cancer (2nd Edition, 2024) — a 257-page comprehensive guide that reviews over 1,300 studies and presents a tiered system of repurposed drugs, lifestyle changes, and supportive strategies. The protocol is positioned as adjunctive care, aimed at improving quality of life, reducing chemotherapy toxicity, and supporting standard treatments such as surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation.

The protocol features key compounds including ivermectin, mebendazole, doxycycline, and curcumin as Tier 1 agents, alongside Tier 2 agents such as atorvastatin, metformin, melatonin, zinc, and Vitamin D3 — all used as an adjunct to standard oncology care rather than a replacement. [The Fenbendazole]

The goal of Cancer Care is to provide a well-researched clearinghouse of information that picks up where traditional cancer therapies leave off, giving providers the tools to think creatively about readily available interventions backed by science that could improve patient outcomes.

The First Edition of Cancer Care ranked #118 out of more than 50,000 cancer books on Amazon and #35 in Medical Research. It became a trusted resource for nearly 15,000 readers on Amazon and was accessed by more than 200,000 people through the FLCCC website — a testament to the enormous demand for this type of integrative oncology guidance.
